Cabbage leaves are wrapped around a grain-free, spiced ground beef filling and cooked quickly in the pressure cooker to make these rolls, a filling plate suited to South African celebration tables. The grain-free filling makes it a good fit for anyone after a low-carb meal.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Boil the cabbage leaves

10 min

Boil the separated cabbage leaves for 8 minutes, until soft enough to roll, then drain.

2

Make the filling

10 min

Knead the ground beef with the grated onion, egg, thyme, salt and black pepper.

3

Roll the leaves

15 min

Flatten the thick centre vein of each leaf a little, place a spoonful of filling on it and roll it up tightly, folding the edges in.

4

Pressure-cook them

20 min

Pack the rolls tightly into the pressure cooker, add the olive oil and water, close the lid and, once it starts hissing, lower the heat and cook for 20 minutes.

Reminder

Pack the rolls in tightly when arranging them in the pressure cooker, or they can come undone while cooking. Any extras can be frozen in a container. Allergens: contains egg.

Düşük karbonhidratlı diye tanıtılıyor ama harçta hiç pirinç olmayınca dokusu bana biraz kuru ve dağınık geldi, alışık olduğum sarma kıvamını vermedi. Belki biraz rendelenmiş kabak eklemek nemi artırırdı.

Haklısınız, pirinçsiz harç doğası gereği daha kuru kalır. Rendelenmiş kabak eklemek gerçekten iyi bir çözüm, nem oranını artırırken karbonhidratı da fazla yükseltmez.
