A practical dish from the Greek breakfast table, this recipe bakes eggs cracked over a tomato sauce with feta scattered on top. With no grain or added sugar, it makes a low-carb plate for anyone watching their intake.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Make the sauce

12 min

Sauté the onion and garlic in the olive oil, add the grated tomato and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes, then season with salt.

2

Transfer to the baking dish

3 min

Pour the sauce into an oven-safe dish and scatter the crumbled feta on top.

3

Crack in the eggs and bake

10 min

Crack the eggs over the sauce and bake in an oven preheated to 190°C for 10 minutes until the whites are set and the yolks stay runny.

4

Serve

2 min

As soon as it comes out of the oven, sprinkle over the oregano and serve hot.

Reminder

Once the eggs are cracked over the sauce, do not keep opening the oven; frequent checks throw off how evenly the yolks cook. Allergens: contains egg, milk and dairy (feta).

Fırında tam 10 dakika pişirdiğim halde sarılar tamamen katılaştı, hafif akışkan bırakmak için süreyi 7 dakikaya mı kısaltmam gerekiyor yoksa 190 derece benim fırınım için mi çok mu yüksek kalıyor acaba?
