This dish pressure-cooks diced beef with carrot and onion until tender, then wraps it in puff pastry. Pre-cooking the meat means there is no risk of a raw centre once the parcels come out of the oven.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Pressure-cook the meat

45 min

Place the diced beef with the onion and carrot in the pressure cooker, add water to cover, season with salt and pepper, close the lid and cook until tender.

2

Drain and cool

15 min

Once the pressure has released, open the lid and drain the meat well in a colander, letting it cool to lukewarm.

3

Fill the pastry

20 min

Unroll the puff pastry sheets and cut into squares, spoon the drained meat into the centre of each and fold into a triangle or parcel shape.

4

Bake

25 min

Brush the tops with egg yolk and bake in an oven preheated to 200°C until golden and flaky.

Reminder

Drain the meat well after pressure-cooking, or the puff pastry gets soggy and will not flake properly. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten, puff pastry), dairy and egg.
