Inspired by Ireland's love of oats, these cookies are made by combining a buttery dough with oats and grated apple before baking. Spiced with cinnamon, they make a quickly prepared sweet snack.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the base

10 min

Beat the butter and sugar until pale, then add the egg and mix.

2

Combine the dough

8 min

Add the oats, flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt, mix, then fold in the grated apple.

3

Shape and bake

12 min

Scoop rounded portions of dough onto a tray and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 12 minutes, until the edges lightly colour.

Reminder

After grating the apple, squeeze out the excess liquid; otherwise the dough stays too wet and the cookies spread while baking. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten), milk and egg.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

Don't worry if the cookies still look soft when you take them out of the oven; they firm up as they cool on the tray.

Elmanın suyunu tarifte dediği gibi hafifçe sıktım ama yine de hamur biraz yumuşak kaldı, kurabiyeler tepside az yayıldı. Tadı gerçekten çok güzeldi, tarçın oranı tam kararındaydı.
