Spicy fish stew is a peppery dish made by quickly cooking chunks of sea bass with tomato, hot green pepper and garlic in a pressure cooker. The pressure cooker lets the fish soak up all the vegetables' flavour in a short amount of time.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Sauté the base

8 min

Finely chop the onion, garlic and hot green pepper and cook them in the olive oil.

2

Add the tomato

3 min

Add the chopped tomato and pul biber and cook for 3 more minutes.

3

Add the fish

2 min

Lay the fish pieces on top and season with salt.

4

Cook under pressure

7 min

Close the pressure cooker lid and once it whistles, lower the heat and cook for 4 more minutes.

5

Serve

5 min

Wait for the pressure to drop, open the lid, drizzle with lemon juice and serve.

Reminder

Adding the fish too early can make it fall apart under pressure, so it helps to let the sauce thicken a little first. Do not try to release the pressure early — let it drop on its own. Allergens: contains fish (sea bass).

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

You can use another white fish like sea bream or snapper instead of sea bass; the cooking time may vary by 1-2 minutes depending on the thickness of the pieces.

Levrek bulamadığım için çipura kullandım, pişirme süresini aynı bıraktım ve parçalar biraz dağıldı; bir dahaki sefere süreyi 1 dakika kısaltacağım, çipura daha narin bir et yapısına sahip galiba.
