Cihangir Kebap İskenderun
Cihangir Kebap's İskenderun outpost, set inside the Equestrian Club grounds in Meydan, bringing Adana kebab and pit-cooked büryan to Hatay.
An Ankara kebab house serving from the same Denizciler Caddesi address in Ulus since 1956, known for İskender and döner, now grown to four branches.
Uludağ Kebapçısı opened in 1956 as a four-table restaurant on Denizciler Caddesi in Ankara's Ulus district, and has kept serving from that same street for more than six decades — long enough that the business now markets itself under the line 'Since 1956, the Capital's Flavour.' What began as a single small dining room has since grown into a four-location operation, with the original Ulus address joined by branches in Çayyolu, the Panora shopping centre, and Gaziosmanpaşa. The kitchen is built around İskender kebab and döner, backed by a broader repertoire of grilled skewers, soups, seasonal salads, olive-oil dishes and mezes, with traditional desserts and fruit plates to close the meal. Its drinks list — ayran, freshly squeezed orange juice, carbonated soft drinks, fruit juices, water, Turkish coffee, instant coffee, tea and fruit teas — contains nothing alcoholic, and no pork product appears anywhere on the menu. For a city where kebab houses come and go quickly, the six-decade run of this original Ulus address is what locals point to when they call it one of Ankara's oldest surviving grill restaurants.
