The Haliliye branch of Miroğlu on Emniyet Caddesi, carrying on the künefe, billuriye and şıllık line of a shop opened in 1997.

About The Venue

Overview

The shop dates itself to 1997, when Ömer Miroğlu opened a small dessert counter that grew into a name known across the city; it now runs two branches, one in Haliliye and one in Karaköprü, and this is the Haliliye address on Emniyet Caddesi. Seven items are published, all of them from the syrup-and-cream tradition of the southeast: cheese künefe, cheese künefe with pistachio, oven kadayıf, billuriye, pistachio burma kadayıf, and şıllık with cream in both pistachio and walnut versions. The list keeps distinctions that matter locally. Billuriye is built from shredded kadayıf spread very fine and layered with pistachio, named for the clarity of its appearance. Şıllık is a thin dough folded around nuts and clotted cream and steeped in syrup, a sweet rarely found outside Şanlıurfa, offered here in two separate versions rather than one. Ice cream sits in the shop's name and keeps its own section on the site — in the southeast a scoop served against hot kadayıf or künefe is a standard pairing rather than an addition. The branch publishes no hours, prices or street number.
