A municipally run tea garden beside an artificial waterfall and pond in Eskişehir's Sazova, serving snacks and ice cream.
Şelale Çay Bahçesi is an open-air tea garden in the Sazova area of Eskişehir, within the Tepebaşı district. Its layout is built around the artificial waterfall it is named after — şelale means waterfall — and a small pond immediately beside it, with the operator presenting the place as somewhere to sit and take in an uninterrupted stretch of greenery. What is served is limited and clearly stated: snacks, hot and cold drinks, and a range of ice creams. This is a garden for sitting rather than a restaurant, and it has no kitchen menu. Opening hours follow the season, running daily from 10:00 to 18:00 through the winter and from 10:00 to 21:00 in summer, which puts the long evenings to use. The operator is Belkent A.Ş., a company of the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality trading under the full name 'Belkent Belde Kent Hizmetleri İnşaat Turizm Taş. Ticari İşletmecilik İletişim San. Tic. A.Ş.', which runs a number of service points across the city. No alcoholic drink appears among the items its page lists. One caveat for visitors: no street address is published on the operator's page, only a directions link to the map location.
