Punto Dondurma (Konyaaltı — Altınkum)

Punto Dondurma lists four shops on its own site, each with an address, and this record is the Konyaaltı one: number 12 in the Asya Apartment on Gazi Mustafa Kemal Paşa Bulvarı, in the Altınkum quarter of Konyaaltı, Antalya — the district that runs along the city's western beach.

The range is printed out flavour by flavour. The ice cream falls into three groups: the classics, vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut and Antep pistachio; the fruit ones, sour cherry, strawberry, blackberry, melon, peach, lemon and raspberry; and a newer set that takes in walnut-and-fig, blueberry, honey-almond, mastic, biscuit, yoghurt and caramel. Mastic — damla sakızı — is a resin that gives Turkish ice cream its characteristic chew. Alongside these the shop keeps a separate line of ice cream on sticks, which it says it makes by traditional methods.

Beyond the ice cream there is a cake counter — pistachio, pistachio croquant, fruit, chestnut, tropical fruit and raspberry — and a section of set desserts covering éclairs, cheesecake, profiteroles and trileçe, a milk-soaked sponge. Coffee runs from espresso and filter to latte and cappuccino. Opening hours, prices and a telephone number for this particular shop have not been published.
