An Antalya ice cream shop on Atatürk Caddesi serving classic and fruit scoops alongside stick ice cream, cakes and plated desserts.
Punto Dondurma is an Antalya ice cream and pastry business with four addresses in the city; this record covers the shop on Atatürk Caddesi, in the Haşim İşcan neighbourhood. The counter is built in three tiers. The classics come first — vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut and Antep pistachio, the latter named for Gaziantep, the southeastern city whose pistachios are the benchmark in Turkish confectionery. Next comes the fruit line: sour cherry, strawberry, blackberry, melon, peach, lemon and raspberry. The third tier gathers the shop's less usual flavours, among them walnut-fig, blueberry, honey-almond, damla sakızı (mastic), biscuit, yoghurt and caramel.
A separate line of stick ice cream, which the shop describes as made by traditional methods, comes in vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, caramel and blueberry. Pastry sits beside the freezer rather than behind it: whole cakes in pistachio, praline-pistachio, fruit, chestnut, tropical fruit and raspberry are made to order for celebrations, and the counter also carries cream-filled éclairs, cheesecake, profiteroles in chocolate sauce and trileçe, the Turkish take on tres leches. Espresso, latte, filter coffee and cappuccino round out the menu, ground fresh according to the shop. This is a walk-in address in central Antalya, sized for a scoop or a slice rather than a sit-down meal; the Konyaaltı, Fener and Dedeman branches are separate places.
