The Ziyapaşa branch in Seyhan of Özsüt, a national dessert chain operating since 1938, bringing kazandibi and Miss Tin cakes to Adana city.
Özsüt's own official website says it has operated since 1938: the story begins with Sefer Urlulu (known as Sefer Usta), who started out selling yoghurt and kaymak (clotted cream) from a 16-square-metre shop in İzmir's Kemeraltı district before moving into traditional desserts; the brand's first sweet, kazandibi, is still made to the same recipe today. The site states the brand opened its first branch in İzmir's Alsancak in 1991, moved to a franchise model in 1996, and today has more than 150 stores across 45 provinces plus 8 branches abroad. The site also says the brand receives consulting from Karim Bourgi, a leading international pastry chef, adding world-cuisine flavours to its traditional recipes. One of the chain's Adana addresses is in the Seyhan district, in the Kurtuluş neighbourhood on Mithat Saraçoğlu Street, at Ali Sadi Bey Apartments. The site's product pages list cakes and desserts, including the Miss Tin range; nothing on the list is an alcoholic drink or pork product.
