MADO (Oran)

MADO Oran serves out of a shopping centre on Kudüs Caddesi in the Oran neighbourhood of Ankara's Çankaya district, one branch of MADO, Turkey's national ice cream and dessert chain. According to the brand's own account, its roots trace back to 1850 in Kahramanmaraş; ice cream production moved into a shop called Yaşar Pastanesi in 1980, and the business began expanding into a chain under the MADO name after 1991. The company now describes its production capacity as five tonnes of ice cream per hour, 120 tonnes a day, with branches across Turkey and abroad — seven of them in Ankara alone, including this Oran location. Its product range covers ice cream, counter treats such as künefe and ice-cream toppings, gift-packaged products, salep, and a coffee-and-cake line. Nowhere in the brand's official product categories does an alcoholic drink appear — MADO's identity is built entirely around ice cream and dessert. As one of Ankara's seven branches, the Oran location sits inside the neighbourhood's commercial centre, making it a stop for both a quick walk-in treat and a family outing.
