The Ceyhan branch of Kahramanmaraş-rooted national ice cream chain MADO, on Şehitler Boulevard in the Namık Kemal neighbourhood of Ceyhan.

About The Venue

Overview

MADO is one of Turkey's best-known ice cream chains, tracing its roots to Kahramanmaraş. According to the company's own history page, the story begins with "karsambaç," a chilled treat once made from snow gathered in the caves of Ahir Dağı mixed with molasses and fruit syrup, which later evolved with milk, honey and salep into today's Maraş-style ice cream. Shaped by the Kanbur family descended from a craftsman remembered as Osman Ağa, the trade grew into the national MADO network after the family opened Yaşar Pastanesi in Kahramanmaraş in 1980. One of the chain's Adana addresses lies outside the provincial centre, in the Ceyhan district, at Şehitler Boulevard No:4 in the Namık Kemal neighbourhood — geographically separate from the chain's other Adana branches in Çukurova and Seyhan. This branch brings the chain's Maraş-origin ice cream and traditional dessert range to customers in Ceyhan.
