Dere Pastanesi runs a patisserie on Bülbülderesi Caddesi in the Muhsin Ertuğrul neighbourhood of Ankara's Çankaya district. Founded in 1971 by Hüseyin Sünetci, its more than fifty years of continuous operation back up its own claim to be 'Çankaya's best patisserie.' The product range covers classic patisserie staples: fresh cream cakes, banana roll cake, mille-feuille, profiteroles, and eclairs stand out among the offerings, with roll cake, mille-feuille cake, and lor tatlısı (curd cheese dessert) coming up most often among customer favourites. Its more than half-century of continuity makes Dere Pastanesi one of the rare Çankaya patisseries to have stayed in the same family across generations.
